Student Fee Payment, items, and Book Purchase Policy Directives.
 

REGISTRATION FEE:

This is a one-time, non-refundable payment and must be paid before picking up the hard copy and after submission of the online Application Form.
It is required in order for the school to process your application and carry out an assessment for new student admission.
 
NB: The school does not accept/allow cash payment of students’ fees.
 
All payments made through the BANK, MOMO / ONLINE PAYMENT PLATFORM shall be credited to the online portal of the respective students.
 
  1. All fresh students shall pay the full prescribed fees plus online admission/registration fees.
 
  1. Continuing Students shall be required to pay a minimum of 35% of the approved fees before class registration at the beginning of every academic term.
 
Even if the students are admitted later during the term, fees for the whole Academic Session will be charged.
 

ATTENDANCE

It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance before every exam to make them eligible to sit for the examination. In case attendance is short, students will not be eligible for promotion/ any academic award.
 
All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present before closing for the vacation. Those absent because of sickness must submit a medical certificate before joining the class.
A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor

 

Student suffering from any one the following disease must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class. a) Chicken Pox- Till complete falling of scabs.
  1. Cholera-Till the child is completely well.
  2. Measles-Two weeks after the rash disappears.
  3. Mumps-Until the swelling has gone.
  4. Whooping cough- two weeks.
  5. Jaundice- two Weeks.
 
 

ABSENCE AND WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE

If your child is absent, please inform the school authorities, preferably the class teacher of the student, in writing.
Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than six days
consecutively will render the student liable to have his/her name struck off the roll. Re-admission fee is GHS500.00
 

DISCIPLINARY MEASURES

The following disciplinary measures will be adopted by the school.
  • Oral warning & counseling.
  • Writing
  • Litter picking
  • Loss of break times
  • Seating rearrangement
  • Helping a teacher
  • Loss of position
  • Loss of “privileges.”
  • Extra homework
  • Detentions
  • Isolation
  • Suspensions
  • Parental/Guardian involvement
 
 NB: Withdrawal of bus facility for misbehavior in the school bus (Parents will be responsible for picking them up and dropping them off at school)
 
 
 
YELLOW Card: A student will be issued a yellow card for missing classes, arriving late to class, constantly interrupting the teaching process, and engaging in rude and unacceptable behavior in class. The student will report to the class Teacher for detection during break. Issuing two yellow Cards will result in the award of a red Card.
 
RED CARD: A red Card holder will not be allowed to avail of any privileges in the school during the period stipulated on the card. The student will not be allowed to attend any programme, picnics, or outings.
 
 
Expulsion
The student will be warned and counseled for the first time, issued a red card for two subsequent lapses and suspension if unacceptable behavior persists. The issue of two red Cards to a student will lead to expulsion.
However, the Principal retains the right to suspend or expel a student out right if the offence is of a very serious nature. The Principal will have the right to withhold the character certificate of any student whose conduct is not keeping with the rules laid down by the school.
 
 
 
 
 
Parents and guardians are requested to read and explain the school rules to their child. Parents should co-operate and adhere to the above guidelines for a positive contribution to their child’s progress.
  • Students should always wear their School ID card.
  • Parents are requested to go through their ward's school diary regularly and sign the teacher’s remarks, if any.
  • PTA meetings should be regularly attended to discuss the performance and progress of the child.
  • Parents must check that the child carries books/not books, according to the timetable.
  • Children should do their homework by themselves unless they require some guidance.
  • Enquire about your child’s progress at least once a month.
  • For the best result, parents must motivate and support their child to establish a proper study area. Homework must be given priority in the daily schedule.
  • In case homework has not been completed by the due date, then it should be communicated clearly to the class teacher the reason why the work was not done.
  • Encourage your ward to read good books or play games, instead of viewing TV.
  • Parents are requested not to accompany their wards to the classrooms at arrival time. At dispersal time, they should collect their wards from the school gate.
  • Parents are not permitted to meet teachers during school hours. In special cases, parents may be allowed to meet the teacher with prior permission from the principal/ academic in charge.
  • Parents should ensure that their wards do not bring any objectionable books, magazines, pictures, or any other material that may violate the disciplinary norms of the school. Otherwise, the same will be seized or destroyed in the presence of the student.
  • Parents are also requested to ensure that their wards do not bring gifts except to offer for distribution on birthdays. Students from class onwards should be in school uniform even on their birthday.
  • Parents are requested to inform the school academic in charge a week in advance to book a date and time for the birthday celebration, with the prior approval of the school authorities.
  • Parents are requested to refrain from sending lunch boxes/notebooks of their wards during school hours.
  • Parents are requested to send their ward in a neat and clean or small-sized uniform. Students should not wear faded, oversized, or small-size uniform. Girl students will wear a skirt 1 inch below the knee, failing of which the child will be marked absent and sent home. (prescribed school uniform, Black shoe, and white socks)
  • On Wednesday & Thursday, students must wear the white school Lacoste uniform
  • Parents are requested to inform the school if there is any change in address/ Tel numbers.
  • The school has a system of fruit break for junior classes. You are requested to ensure that the child carries at least one fruit every day.
  • Please do not give a mobile phone to your child. If a student is found carrying a mobile phone, it will be confiscated, and a heavy fine will be imposed.
  • The facility of the internet is required to monitor the usage of this wonderful technology by your ward so that he/she does not misuse the internet access. It is advisable to route your child’s email through your account and share their password. Also, keep the computer in advance in a central family location, not in the child’s room. The usage of a computer should be a family activity.
  • Encourage your ward to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities, and sports.
  • Criticism of a teacher of the school in the presence of a child must be scrupulously avoided as it causes students to lose respect for their teacher with the consequent failure to learn from him/her, thus retarding the child’s progress.
  • Refrain from giving regular pocket money to your ward. Encourage healthy breakfast and give home cooked food in your wards tiffin and regulate their sleeping hours to at least 8 hours a day.
  • Parents should use the “Leave Record” form in the diary or school portal when applying for leave or explaining the absence of their children.
 
  • Complaints / legitimate grievances, if any, should be addressed to the principal
  • All belongings of the student should bear their name and class. If lost, the school will not be held responsible.
  • Students should carry two napkins, a spoon, and a water bottle duly labeled along with their lunch.
  • Parents are expected to go through the Handbook carefully and sign the Handbook daily.
  • Child should be potty-trained. Wetting or soiling in school can affect his /her attitude and confidence.
  • It is compulsory to send a spare dress, diapers, wipes, etc., in the child’s bag. (pre-school students)
  • Parents are requested to return any object the child brings from the school that does not belong to him/her.
  • Occasionally, a child may bring home something that belongs to the classroom environment. Please do not regard this as stealing. Explain to the child that the object is needed at school and encourage them to return it the next day
  • Parents / Guardians are requested to respond to the calls from the school positively (if called).
  • Boys should have close cut hair style. Girls should not have streaked hair and fancy hairstyles. Hair should be plaited. (conrol hair style)
  • To acquire a good command of the English language, which is the medium of instruction for all subjects, Children should speak only in English in the school premises.
  • Parents are requested to personally see off and receive their child at the bus stop, especially Nursery to class II.
  • The school believes in the discipline and in firmness. In breach of the school discipline and rules, the school reserves the right to expel student whose conduct is harmful to other students
  • The Principal will be pleased to see the parents during visiting hours on their written request.

Regarding the Request Form:

  • If you prefer to transport your child to school yourself, use the Request Form to opt out of school transportation and feeding services. You'll be exempt from paying transport and feeding fees.
  • This form is for parents who've agreed to handle transport, feeding, and other services independently.
